White Paper

The age-old axiom “a dog is a man’s best friend” has never been more
applicable to the state of how animals are treated in the 21st Century. Verily,
the importance of animals is a notion that is too commonly overlooked and
undermined. While different breads of animal have different roles in our
lives – ranging from their impacts on our mental health to their roles in
various ecosystems at the microbiological levels – it is undeniable that their
presence is necessary, both as a matter of ethical reasoning, as well as
ecologically, at least on a broad level. Where many societies embrace and
hoan the advantages that animals may bring us – by virtue of adoption, as
one approach to supporting domestic and non-domestic animals, the
expression of love toward these animals is but one facet of our contributions
to the contemporarily tragic existence of animals. Many will duly argue that
we must expand our humanistic manifestations of care and compassion, to
include objectively viable commercial and consumptionary practices, while
partaking in the conception of comprehensive initiatives for animals living in
the harsh conditions of homelessness and suffering from the corollary
struggles that accompany homelessness. Ultimately, the foundations of such
an argument find themselves rooted in deep philosophical ponderance on
notions of jurisprudence, existentialism and philosophical ethics. It is by
dint of such philosophical forethought that PetsCoin has conceived its
commercial and altruistic visions – a sustainable currency which provides
access to decentralised financial resources, in the benefit of society’s
subjects, inclusive of animals.
The aim of PetsCoin is to partake in initiatives which feed animals, build
shelters to treat street animals around the world, and provide protection to
animals at the risk of being abused.
It is our central belief that the protection of animals from the looming threats
of society are fundamental to creating an ethically sustainable commercial
practices, while having opportunities to inform such practices with meaning
and purpose.
PetsCoin is also proud to confirm that the broader aim of this project
(alongside the aforementioned aims) is also to engage in meaningful practice,
which will directly have positive outcomes of environmental well-being, by
working with grass-root organisations who engage with aquamarine life in
particular. This support will be, primarily, aimed at fostering a fertile
environment for the prosperity of sea creatures that are involved in the
multifaceted production of oxygen, as well as those which promote biodiversity
in some of the important isolated ecosystems. Our comprehensive donation
initiative will help provide further support to these grass-root organisations, and
to promote a positive user-experience, we will make our charitable accounting
books open-source, so that users can be reassured that every transaction leads
to a marginally positive difference.

What can be done to help stray animals

1- We humans harm the well-being of animals to a great extent. If you are
financially and morally prepared, you can adopt stray cats or dogs that you see on the
street. You can also contact the adoption pages on social media or visit animal
2- Embracing animals in shelters are another good thing you can do if you can’t
adopt or visit animal shelters often! We have many who need help providing much
needed love and attention to animals in difficult situations. You can visit them
regularly and bring them food. In addition, you can directly cover the costs of one or
more animals. Be an activist.
3- Be an activist anywhere you find out there is an animal in need of defense or
help. As more abled beings, we have an ethical and moral duty to take good care of
those who are less capable of tending for themselves. It is our humanity that reminds
us that we are not all that different!
4- Donate to an institution that you trust, as most animal shelters operate on a
voluntary basis. You can communicate directly with the shelter staff or donate to an
institution that you trust. However, after you donate, be sure to check where your
money is being spent.
5- Work on global animal rights in conjunction with different organizations and
societies who focus on animal rights around the world. By joining these
communities, you can have a massive influence on how well we develop initiatives, in
the aim of achieving positive environmental and ecological change.
